About Empuriabrava

Empuriabrava is a residential area of Castelló d'Empuries, a small town with rich history located in the North-Eastern part of Catalonia, province of Girona. Empuriabrava is effectively a residential marina stretching from the sea towards Castelló with more than 24 km of navigable canals.

Salvador Dali's Museum in Figueres Apart of that, the town is surrounded by many historical monuments and places of interest - from ancient ruins to medieval towns, not to mention Salvador Dali's museums in nearby Cadaques and Figueres. Within a short distance you may visit ancient Roman ruins at Empuries and Cuitadella de Roses, the place where the first ancient Greek colony on Iberian peninsula was created. Going further, Girona has a beautiful historical center and Barcelona with its numerous architectural monuments and museums is just 1.5-2 hours away. Perpignan is also a nice place to go as well as many places on Cap de Creus.

Empuriabrava located in province of Girona (Nort-Eastern part of Catalonia), one of the most developed Spanish autonomous regions. The province borders France from the North and province of Barcelona from the South.

The Mediterranean coastline to the North of Barcelona is known as Costa Brava, and Empuriabrava is on Costa Brava's part called Alt Empordà which stretches from L'Escala to Portbou, the last Spanish town on the French border.

Empuriabrava lies in the very heart of the Bay of Roses in the charming entourage of natural parks and historical places.
